Rockstar Apologized for Keeping us Waiting So Long for GTA 6 Gameplay
Rockstar has finally broken its silence regarding the Grand Theft Auto VI leaks. Following numerous gameplay videos recently shared by Cyberleek, the statement acknowledged that the leaks were “heartbreaking” for the team. The studio also apologized to the community, admitting that it took much longer than expected to share official gameplay and new details.
Planned Reveal for GTA 6 Remains Unchanged
One of the most notable points in Rockstar’s statement was a small hint about the game’s current status. The studio stated that GTA 6 is very close to completion, expressing regret for both the extended development process and the delay in sharing official gameplay. The company also acknowledges that they couldn’t share the details players have been eagerly anticipating sooner.
Rockstar has also made it clear that they don’t want the leaked footage to be the first time players see GTA 6 in this way. The fact that the videos circulating in recent days reveal more than expected about the story, open world, and different gameplay systems seems to be one of the studio’s biggest concerns.
Despite this, no changes have been made to the plans. The previously announced Extended Look presentation will be released tomorrow, and Rockstar will continue with its official release schedule. While acknowledging that some surprises may have been spoiled due to the leaks, the team asks players to be patient a little longer to discover the remaining details directly within the game.
Rockstar’s statement also reaffirmed the release date for GTA 6. The game is still scheduled for November 19, 2026. The fact that the studio’s schedule hasn’t changed despite the intense leaks in recent weeks is significant. Now all eyes are on how much new information Rockstar will reveal in the official presentation after the leaks.
