8BitDo Ultimate 3 Lavender Edition is finally on Sale
8BitDo has finally released the Ultimate 3 Controller for Xbox – Lavender Edition, which it introduced in May 2026. Positioned as a more affordable alternative to the Ultimate 3E, the controller features a redesigned look, adjustable TMR analog sticks, wireless charging support, and wireless compatibility with Xbox consoles. Priced at $99.99 in the US, it is currently only available in a pastel purple color called Lavender.
8BitDo Ultimate 3 Lavender Edition Offers Wireless Xbox Support
The Ultimate 3 has wider grip areas compared to the previous Ultimate 2 series. The redesigned disc-shaped D-pad aims to facilitate diagonal inputs. The TMR analog sticks used in the controller allow for tension adjustment thanks to the force ring system. Thus, players can change the stiffness of the analog sticks according to their usage preferences.
On the hardware side, there are Hall Effect impulse triggers, a two-stage trigger stop system, additional shoulder buttons L4 and R4, and two rear buttons. For PC use, it offers six-axis motion control and 1,000 Hz polling rate support. Other features include four vibration motors and a 3.5 mm audio output controller.
Connectivity options vary depending on the platform. The Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC support wireless connectivity via the included 2.4 GHz dongle. Wired connectivity is also supported, while Bluetooth is reserved for Android and Apple devices.
The Ultimate 3 Lavender Edition features a 1,000 mAh battery, and the 8BitDo controller promises approximately 20 hours of use. A wireless charging stand that doesn’t require contact pins is also included. The controller is compatible with Ultimate Software X and Ultimate Software V2, but despite the price advantage, it does not support the company’s new web-based firmware update tool.
