No Rest for the Wicked 1.0 Release Delayed Once Again
Moon Studios has announced that the full release of No Rest for the Wicked has been delayed from October 2026 to March 2027. The action RPG, which has been in early access on Steam for almost two years, has managed to reach 1.5 million sales during this time. The studio had previously changed the release date for the Xbox Series S version due to quality concerns. Now, they will use a few more months of development time for the full 1.0 release.

According to Moon Studios, although the team is quite close to release, they believe the current version isn’t good enough for a full 1.0 release. The extra time will be used specifically for performance improvements, class system balancing, and general polishing. The studio emphasizes that they are a small team and do not want to compromise on quality standards.
The delay won’t be solely for technical work. The development team plans to conduct further beta testing with the community until March 2027. This will allow player feedback to directly influence the final adjustments to the class system and performance.
A definitive release date hasn’t been announced yet, but PlayStation pre-orders have been confirmed to begin in January 2027. It was also stated that users who purchase the game via Steam before 2027 will receive the Founders Pack rewards for free. This pack is a thank you to players who supported the project during the early access period.
Moon Studios, known for the Ori series, has shifted to a different genre with No Rest for the Wicked. Instead of rushing the release, the studio is opting for another delay of a few months. If the planned work is completed, version 1.0 of the game will be released in March 2027.
