Baldur’s Gate 3 mod for AI controlled companions
Baldur’s Gate 3 made a massive release until the first day the game released. Because the game is too popular, modders also trying to make useful stuff for Baldur’s Gate 3 as well.
Some of the latest revealed Baldur’s Gate 3 mod seek to enhance the combat in the game by allowing players to use AI controlled companions. The first take on that idea came in the form of the Baldur’s Gate 3 mod AI Friends created, which implemented the concept by the way of a simple Friends spell. Casting the incantation once enables AI-controlled party members, while doing so again disables this feature.
Inspired by that Baldur’s Gate 3 mod, modder subsequently came up with their own AI Control Party While In Combat mod, which adopts the spell toggling mechanism of AI Friends while also extending its effect to the entire party, main character included.

This particular creation essentially allow players to fully automate combat encounters in the game. So, a party consisting of a pre-built Origin character and three of the strongest companions in Baldur’s Gate 3 could now cause a lot of casualties on it’s own.
Both of the recently released Baldur’s Gate 3 mod changed the game’s existing AI system in order to allow for AI-controllable characters. They also support single-target activations, providing players with the ability to maintain control over select party members while automating the actions of others.
Using these companions to sporadically delegate combat tasks could speed up Baldur’s Gate 3 encounters without make players feel like cheating, like the AI-controlled companions won’t be any smarter than their class equivalents that the player encounters on the battlefield.

AI allies could also make the game more accessible for new players to the Dungeons and Dragons games. Some players can watch them showcase their abilities in battle is a faster way to learn the basics of their classes than learning through experimenting.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is available now on Steam for PC and launches September 6 on PS5, with an Xbox Series X/S port also in development.
