PS5 Pro Price, Release Date, Technical Specifications Announced

After months of leaks and rumors, Sony finally made the official announcement for PS5 Pro price, release date and technical specifications. While the tech world is eagerly awaiting this advanced console, Sony revealed that the PS5 Pro is revolutionary compared to the standard PS5. Sony says this will allow them to more successfully simulate the behavior of light in the physical world.

“One of PS5 Pro’s most notable innovations is PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution technology, an AI-powered upscaling.” This technology uses machine learning to make images clearer and more detailed. Now even low-resolution scenes will appear in perfect clarity. With PS5 Pro, gamers will no longer have to choose between graphics modes; the highest performance and resolution will be delivered together.

Game Boost and Backward Compatibility

With the PS5 Pro, Sony aims to deliver a better experience not only for next-gen games, but also for previous-gen titles. The console is fully compatible with more than 8,500 PS4 games and will boost their performance and image quality thanks to a new Game Boost feature. Sony says Game Boost can stabilize and in some cases improve performance in certain games. This makes it especially attractive for those who want to replay older games.

Alongside these improvements, the PS5 Pro also supports Wi-Fi 7, the latest wireless technology. This feature will make online games much more enjoyable with a fast and stable internet connection. Especially in multiplayer games, low latency and faster data transfer will give players an advantage.

Release Date, Price and Hardware

The PS5 Pro will launch on November 7 with a price tag of $699.99, with pre-orders opening on September 26. The console comes with 2TB of SSD storage capacity, giving you plenty of space to store large games. The console also lacks a disk drive, but those who prefer disks will have the option to purchase an external disk drive. The box will also include the pre-installed Astro’s Playroom game and a DualSense wireless controller.
