Rush is Real’s Core Mechanic will be a First in the Gaming World

We know very little about Rush is Real so far, but what the development team has said suggests the project won’t be just another shooter. Nomion Games, founded by experienced individuals who left Battlestate Games, aims to build the game on a completely new concept rather than simply copying systems from existing successful titles. At the heart of this concept is a unique mechanic designed to change player motivation.

What Mechanic Will Rush is Real Be Built On?

The game’s creator and Creative Director, Jean Tyulegenov, says that with Rush is Real, they want to recreate the fundamental mechanism of player motivation. According to him, many studios take the core systems of successful games and make improvements in areas like interface, progression, or ease of use. Instead, Nomion Games aims to embed a new mechanic, unlike anything seen in any other game before, into the familiar shooter and progression systems.

Rush is Real's Core Mechanic will be a First in the Gaming World

This mechanic hasn’t been officially revealed yet, but some examples given by Tyulegenov offer small clues about the project’s direction. The developer wants players to be able to indirectly influence events not only during the match but also while watching. It’s stated that they are considering systems where even those watching a streamer on Twitch could support their favorite players.

Tyulegenov likens this to the impact of fans in football. Similar to how crowd support boosts team morale, mechanics are being evaluated where spectators can indirectly contribute to the course of the match. However, it’s important to note that this isn’t a finalized feature; it’s currently just one of the ideas being worked on within the team.

Rush is Real has been confirmed as a shooter, but key details such as its competitive structure, perspective, or match format haven’t been revealed yet. The game is also planned to touch upon heavier themes such as class inequality, constant stimuli, technological advancement, and moral responsibility. If Rush is Real can truly combine all these ideas into a single original mechanic, Nomion Games’ ambitions will be considerable.
