Sebastian Stan’s New Photo Fuels Victor Zsasz Claim
It has long been known that Sebastian Stan has joined the cast of The Batman – Part II, but the character he will play remains a secret. Initial rumors suggested he might play Harvey Dent, also known as Two-Face. More recent rumors, however, link Stan to a completely different Batman villain. A new photo of him with a shaved head has further strengthened the possibility of him playing Victor Zsasz.
Will Sebastian Stan Really Play Victor Zsasz?
Matt Reeves did not announce Sebastian Stan’s character when revealing the main cast of the film. For a while, it was thought that Stan would play Harvey Dent, Scarlett Johansson would play Gilda, and Charles Dance would play Dent’s father. However, later rumors suggested Stan would play Victor Zsasz and Brian Tyree Henry would play Harvey Dent.
The new photo shows Stan with very short hair, leading to comparisons, particularly with Zsasz, who is usually depicted in comics with completely shaved or very short hair. However, this image alone doesn’t confirm the actor’s role. It’s also possible that the same haircut was chosen to facilitate the makeup and prosthetic work for Two-Face.
While Stan hasn’t directly described his character before, he has said the role is quite complex. He stated that when creating comic book characters, he focuses on their backgrounds, their environments, and the reasons that drive them to make certain decisions. This explanation is broad enough to fit psychologically layered characters like Harvey Dent and Victor Zsasz.
Other hidden roles in the film are also fueling rumors. It’s claimed that Scarlett Johansson might play a serial killer who uses poison and is obsessed with plants, while Charles Dance could be the leader of a secret organization of powerful figures in Gotham. None of these have been officially confirmed yet. The situation is similar for Sebastian Stan. While the new footage seems to support Victor Zsasz’s theory, we need to wait for a definitive answer from Matt Reeves or the studio.
