Tides of Annihilation Showed Its New Trailer at Gamescom 2026
Tides of Annihilation, developed by Eclipse Glow Games, released its new trailer, “Beneath the Veil,” during Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026. While previous previews focused more on fast-paced combat and massive enemies, the new two-minute video prioritizes the story. Specifically, the characters Gwendolyn will encounter and the mystery behind the shattered London become clearer.
Tides of Annihilation Brings Arthurian Legends to London
The new trailer also features important figures from the Arthurian legend, such as Guinevere and Lancelot. The game’s world is largely shattered after an attack by a mysterious force called the Otherworld. Gwendolyn will navigate this world where reality and fantasy intertwine, trying to save both her family and London.
On the gameplay side, Gwendolyn won’t be fighting alone. Players will be able to harness the power of more than a dozen Knights of the Round Table from the Arthurian legend. Each knight will have different combat roles and abilities; players can create their own attack chains by using them in different combinations. This system adds a more tactical layer to the game’s fast-paced action structure.
One of the most unusual elements of Tides of Annihilation will be the gigantic Colossal Knights roaming the world. Players will not only fight these creatures but also climb on them and explore the areas hidden within. The playable demo prepared for Gamescom also combines exploration, puzzles, and large-scale combat.
Tides of Annihilation is being developed for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, but a definitive release date has not yet been announced. The new trailer at Gamescom 2026 further revealed the game’s story, which blends Arthurian legends with a modern and fragmented London, and Eclipse Glow Games is preparing a very ambitious production, especially in terms of its world and combat system.
