ZOOPUNK Unveiled at Gamescom 2026 with a New Trailer
ZOOPUNK, developed by TiGames, was unveiled with a new trailer during Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026. The game takes place decades before F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch and depicts the turbulent pre-revolutionary era of Torch City. This time, we’re going back to the origins of the world we know. Moreover, it’s not just about fighting machines; boss battles featuring animal enemies were also shown for the first time.
ZOOPUNK Highlights Three Different Heroes
The new trailer details the fighting styles of three playable characters. Rayton the Rabbit focuses on fast melee combos and electrically charged attacks, while Braton the Rhino offers a much heavier and more durable fighting style with his massive chainsaw. Trixie the Chipmunk, with her acrobatic moves, firearms, and hit-and-run tactics, appears to be the most agile character in the team.
The world design also appears larger than the first game. There will be quite diverse regions, from lush forests to advanced machine cities and giant airships soaring through the air. Clearly, ZOOPUNK isn’t just trying to be “a bigger F.I.S.T.”; it aims to significantly expand the universe, both visually and narratively.
Towards the end of the trailer, a mysterious fourth character is briefly shown. Described as a Serval, the identity and role of this character in the story remain undisclosed. TiGames’ decision to keep this character secret suggests they are preparing a major surprise for future presentations after Gamescom.
ZOOPUNK is being developed for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, but a definitive release date has not yet been announced. TiGames also announced that they will release another gameplay video, approximately five minutes long, on August 26th. Judging from the first trailer, the F.I.S.T. universe is transforming into a bigger, more colorful, and somewhat crazier action game this time around.
