Cinder City Showed Off Its New Trailer at Gamescom 2026
Developed by NC and BigFire Games, Cinder City made its debut at Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026 with a new trailer. Previously known as Project LLL, the game presents a post-apocalyptic depiction of Seoul in the near future. Players will control one of the warriors called Cinderknights and try to reclaim the city from both mutant creatures and hostile factions.
Cinder City Turns Seoul into a Great Battlefield
The most striking aspect of the game is that the open world is not just an empty space to wander between missions. Story missions, side quests, and dynamic events will constantly appear in different parts of the city. You can progress solo or team up with other players. Some of the decisions you make are also planned to affect how Seoul will be shaped in later chapters.
In combat, weapons aren’t the only option. Drones, stealth gear, and various tactical tools will be available, along with motorcycles, power loader-type mechanical vehicles, and even aircraft. This means that instead of directly diving into conflicts, players will be able to use whatever is available in the environment to solve the problem more intelligently. This aspect sets Cinder City apart from a classic third-person shooter.
Threats aren’t uniform either. Players will deal with the Hyde group, various enemy factions, and creatures appearing in the city. There will also be field bosses, instanced dungeons, and large-scale raids. Especially in co-op content, role assignment within the team and character development accordingly will become crucial.
Cinder City is being developed for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. A definitive release date hasn’t been announced yet, but NC previously indicated a release window around 2026. The new trailer from Gamescom clearly shows that the game’s strongest point will be transforming the familiar streets of Seoul into a massive and dangerous co-op battlefield.
