3 Games Are Now Free on Steam
Unlike its usual free weekends, Steam is offering three paid games completely free this time. These games will remain permanently in your library if added before the specified dates. This means you don’t need to download and play them immediately; simply add them to your account before the campaign ends.
3 Games Permanently Free on Steam
The first of the free games is Deadshot. This retro FPS game draws inspiration from classics like Half-Life, Doom, and Quake. Consisting of three chapters and a total of 18 levels, the game features seven different weapons. Deadshot can be added to your account for free until September 23rd.
The second title is Space Menace, a science fiction-themed real-time strategy game. Players start with a single ship and grow their fleet through missions, loot, and new vehicles. Relationships with different factions also change as the game progresses. The free-to-own campaign for Space Menace will also end on September 23rd.
The third game, Crystal Crisis, is a little different from the other two. Combining competitive fighting game mechanics with falling block puzzles, it features 20 playable characters. The roster includes well-known names such as Isaac from The Binding of Isaac, Quote from Cave Story, and Astro Boy. Crystal Crisis’s campaign will end earlier than the others, on September 22nd.
The important point here is that these games aren’t just temporarily playable. All three titles appear as “Free to Keep” in SteamDB records. This means that if you add them to your account before the campaign ends, the games become yours permanently and can be downloaded whenever you want. So, even if you’re not interested, adding them to your library might be a good idea.
