Crimson Desert is making headlines this time not for its visual quality, but for the content used. Screenshots and detailed reviews shared by players have sparked a strong debate about whether some of the game’s visuals may have been generated by artificial intelligence.
AI Claims Grow in Crimson Desert
The claims center particularly on the paintings and wall decorations within the game. Details such as distorted faces, missing or disproportionate eyes in some portraits are noticeable. Similarly, perspective errors and nonsensical details in landscape paintings have led players to say, “These visuals might be AI-generated.”
This situation isn’t limited to isolated examples. The frequent appearance of similar visuals in different regions, especially indoors, strengthens the possibility that this is a deliberate choice rather than a coincidence. It’s thought that this type of production is used particularly in background content that the player doesn’t directly interact with.
