Tears of Metal Early Access Release Date Announced

The long-awaited announcement for Tears of Metal’s early access release has arrived, bringing Paper Cult Games’ co-op roguelike back into the spotlight. Combining a medieval atmosphere with hack-and-slash action, the game has been particularly popular with players who enjoy chaotic battles with friends. The development team views the early access period not just as a launch event, but as a long-term development phase that will grow the game through community feedback.

Tears of Metal Early Access Release Date and Content

Tears of Metal’s early access release date has been announced as July 22nd. The game will be available on Steam and the Microsoft Store for PC. According to Paper Cult Games, this version won’t just be a small trial package. The core progression cycle will be playable from start to finish, allowing players to experience the main structure of Tears of Metal from day one.

The early access release will feature three distinct chapters in the game. Each chapter will have its own enemies, elite opponents, and boss battles. Players will also initially choose from three playable heroes. Village upgrades, emblems, equipment, companions, and various character enhancement systems will also be available in the early access version.

The development team states that the game is fully playable from A to Z, but still holds significant potential for improvement. Therefore, new heroes, a new emblem family, additional equipment, amulets, companions, and village content will be added throughout early access. Balance updates, gameplay improvements, performance optimizations, and quality-of-life features will also be shaped by community feedback.

Another important detail is the removal of the demo. The Tears of Metal demo will be removed from access on July 6th. The development team states that the demo no longer reflects the current state of the game and that save files will not be transferred to the full version. Therefore, this is the last chance for those who want to try the game early, and it will end soon. Tears of Metal will begin its true journey with players when it officially launches in early access.
