Petit Planet Showed Its New Trailer at Gamescom 2026

HoYoverse released new footage for Petit Planet during Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026. Quite different from the company’s action-oriented titles like Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, and Zenless Zone Zero, the game offers players the opportunity to build a peaceful life on their own small planet. The Gamescom presentation also highlighted core systems such as farming, building structures, spending time with neighbors, and exploring galactic regions called Starseas.

Petit Planet Allows Us to Build Our Own Planet

In Petit Planet, players will be able to develop their own planet, grow crops, build new structures, and develop relationships with different characters living in the environment. The game won’t be confined to a single small area; traveling to different regions via Starseas and encountering new creatures will also be an important part of the experience.

The social aspect is also central to the game. HoYoverse is creating a structure where players can interact with their friends and share different activities. These social features, encounters with neighboring characters, and the daily life cycle within the game are highlighted in the “Connect the Vibe” area created for Gamescom.

Another significant step for Petit Planet at Gamescom 2026 was the first public display of the game’s PC demo. In HoYoverse’s approximately 660 square meter booth, players could directly experience farming, building, exploration, and social systems. This demonstration was one of the largest public presentations of the game to date.

Petit Planet is known to be developed for PC, iOS, and Android. While it was stated during the Gamescom presentation that the game is still under development, conflicting information circulates regarding the release schedule; therefore, official announcements from HoYoverse remain crucial. For now, the clearest point is that Petit Planet is creating a much more relaxed and life-focused experience than the company’s usual games.
