eFootball has recently been venturing outside the usual boundaries of football games with its unusual collaborations. This time, Naruto Shippuden characters are joining the fray, resulting in a very colorful event. This special campaign, which pairs real footballers with anime characters, adds a more fun atmosphere to the game with both card effects and stadium decorations.
What Content Does the eFootball Naruto Event Bring?
The eFootball Naruto event, launched by Konami, will continue until May 14, 2026. As part of the event, some footballers receive special cards inspired by Naruto Shippuden characters. Neymar Jr. is paired with Naruto, Takefusa Kubo with Sasuke, Martin Ødegaard with Shikamaru, and Robert Lewandowski with Kakashi. On the Akatsuki side, names like Rafael Leão, Alexis Saelemaekers, Christian Pulisic, and Luka Modric stand out with different character themes.
What makes these cards special isn’t just their visual designs. Some cards feature effects inspired by the characters’ signature jutsus. Naruto and Sasuke-themed cards include visual touches reminiscent of Rasen Shuriken or Chidori. Goal celebrations also feature special crossover animations. So the event isn’t just about cosmetics in the menu; it makes its presence felt during the match.
There’s also a wide range of rewards. Giant Kyubi and Susano’o decorations, Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura-themed stadium choreographies, goal and kickoff projections, special login bonuses, and various event rewards await players. Epic Worldwide cards featuring names like Gareth Bale, Marcelo, and Aubameyang are also noteworthy pieces of this period.
The most enjoyable aspect of the event is how it subtly blends the worlds of football and anime. Lewandowski striking Kakashi poses or Neymar pairing with Naruto might seem strange on paper, but it creates a fun energy within eFootball. The fact that some Challenge Event rewards will be revealed after May 7th gives players an extra reason to keep an eye on the event for a few more days.
