Microsoft reportedly regrets its decision to keep Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, developed by Ninja Theory, exclusive to Xbox consoles. It’s also been suggested that Fable could be released for PlayStation 5.

Fable Could Also Be Coming to PlayStation 5

Game journalist and co-host of The Xbox Two podcast Jez Corden said on Twitter/X that he heard that Microsoft considered Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 being exclusive a mistake. Corden expressed his belief that Microsoft will not make the same mistake with Fable and that the game will also be coming to PlayStation 5.

According to Corden, Fable has a pretty big budget. He said that the action role-playing game will eventually come to PS5, if not on day one, and that Microsoft’s current plan is to bring all first-party Xbox games to PlayStation over time. He noted that Microsoft hasn’t been more transparent about this issue because it doesn’t want to impose it on studios that aren’t ready for simultaneous multi-platform development yet. However, Corden believes that the era of Xbox’s permanent console features is over.

The first four Xbox first-party games coming to PlayStation 5 have been announced as Sea of Thieves, Hi-Fi Rush, Grounded, and Pentiment. Corden added that Playground Games’ racing game Forza Horizon 5 could eventually be ported to PS5, but not anytime soon. As for Fable, Corden said that he got to see some alpha gameplay footage from the upcoming action role-playing game, and that the game looks “amazing” and that he can see CD Projekt Red’s DNA in the game.
