Netflix Releases Trailer for Devil May Cry Anime
Netflix has shared exciting new information for the anime adaptation of Capcom’s legendary game series Devil May Cry. While the first trailer for the series, which will be released on April 3, has met with viewers, details about the voice cast have also been revealed. Produced by Adi Shankar and created by the successful team remembered from Castlevania, this project aims to bring together fans of the game series and anime lovers.

The voice cast announced with the trailer includes familiar names. Johnny Yong Bosch will voice Dante, while Scout Taylor-Compton will bring Mary to life. In addition, Hoon Lee will voice White Rabbit. Kevin Conroy, known from the Batman animated series and who passed away in 2022, is involved in the project with his previously recorded voices for the character VP Baines. Chris Coppola will voice Enzo.
The series’ story follows Dante’s adventures as he tries to prevent the portal between the human and demon worlds from opening. Dante, an orphaned demon hunter, embarks on this difficult mission without knowing that the balance between the two worlds carries his destiny.
This ambitious Netflix anime project is being brought to life by South Korea-based Studio Mir. The studio, which has previously produced projects such as The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf and Dota: Dragon’s Blood, draws attention with its animation quality. Series producer and showrunner Adi Shankar states that Devil May Cry offers a story adapted to the anime while preserving the dark atmosphere of the games.
