Ant-Man to Become the Veteran Member of the New Avengers Team
Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige announced that Scott Lang will take on a kind of “senior statesman” role, guiding the younger heroes in the new film. His contribution to the time travel plan in Avengers: Endgame and his battle with Kang in the Quantum Realm have made him one of the most experienced members of the team. Scott is expected to support Sam Wilson’s Avengers roster alongside names like Shang-Chi and Joaquin Torres.
In concept art for Avengers: Doomsday, created by Andy Park, Ant-Man is seen alongside characters like Yelena Belova, Bucky Barnes, Thor, and Steve Rogers. However, the absence of Evangeline Lilly’s Wasp is noteworthy. The pair have been an inseparable team since Ant-Man and the Wasp in 2018. Whether this partnership will continue in the new film has not yet been officially announced.
The emotional center of the story is expected to be the relationship between Scott Lang and his daughter Cassie. Kathryn Newton’s return could highlight Scott’s protective side during the multiverse threat posed by Doctor Doom.
