According to Patrick, Davey Scatino, even though his life was completely ruined by gambling addiction, wasn’t the type of person to commit murder. The actor said, “It makes me very happy that people are still theorizing about my character,” adding that he himself was surprised by the possibility that Davey might have killed Tony Soprano in the series finale.
Despite appearing in only three episodes of the second season, Davey Scatino became one of the most striking victims of Tony Soprano’s ruthless world. Dragged into high-stakes poker games by his childhood friend Tony, Davey quickly fell into deep debt and eventually lost his sporting goods store, forcing him to leave New Jersey with his family.
