Take-Two is Making a Fortune from Mobile Games
When Take-Two is mentioned, most gamers naturally think of giant brands like GTA, Red Dead Redemption, Borderlands, or NBA 2K. However, the company’s latest financial report once again showed how powerful mobile gaming has become behind the scenes. Take-Two generated half of its total net revenue from mobile games in FY26, somewhat reversing the classic perception of console and PC gaming.
Take-Two Stands Out with Mobile Revenue
According to the shared data, Take-Two generated $3.33 billion in net revenue from mobile games in FY26. This figure represents 50% of the company’s total net revenue. PC and other categories accounted for $2.60 billion, or 39%, while console gaming remained at $730 million, representing an 11% share.
This table clearly shows that Take-Two isn’t just a company that survives solely on big-budget console and PC games. Especially after the Zynga acquisition, the company has gained significant strength in the mobile sector, continuing to generate regular revenue with long-running games like Toon Blast and Words with Friends. In short, the mobile sector is no longer just an additional source of income for Take-Two, but one of its main sources.
Interestingly, the share of mobile games was even higher in FY25, with 52% of total revenue coming from this segment. A similar distribution is seen in the last quarter of FY26; the company generated $843.9 million in net income from mobile games in Q4 FY26 alone. This shows that mobile games have a permanent, not temporary, weight in Take-Two’s financial structure.
Take-Two has a broad schedule for the coming years with new sequels, existing brands, and different projects. However, this report reminds us of a fact sometimes overlooked in the gaming world: mobile games continue to quietly generate massive revenues. Although GTA 6 has garnered all the spotlight, one of the sources of revenue for Take-Two continues to be those small screens we carry in our pockets.
