The Witcher 3 Modders have Brought Back Content that was Cut from the Game

The Witcher 3 is one of the most difficult RPGs to return to after taking a break, due to its structure that can span hundreds of hours. Especially for those who restart the game for Songs of the Past, remembering where they left off in the story is not easy. At this point, a new mod created by the community brings back a system that was originally planned for the game but removed from the final version.

The Event Viewer System Returns to The Witcher 3

The new mod, created by glassfish777, adds an Event Viewer system to The Witcher 3. After installing the mod, a new Events tab appears in the Glossary section of the game. From here, it is possible to rewatch important story scenes that have been unlocked previously.

The system doesn’t just replay old cutscenes. Each event is accompanied by a short text description. Interestingly, these descriptions were prepared by CD Projekt Red years ago and translated into various languages, yet they weren’t used in the final version of the game. So the mod doesn’t just add a new feature; it also brings back previously inaccessible official content.

Some story scenes are even more interesting. Some content that was never visible in the normal game because multiple events were triggered simultaneously can now be viewed for the first time thanks to the Event Viewer. This allows players to recall important points without having to replay the story from the beginning, and also access scenes that have been hidden in the game files for years.

This type of system makes a significant difference, especially in long RPGs. When you return to games like Mass Effect, Skyrim, or The Witcher after weeks or months, simply reading the list of completed quests is often insufficient. This mod for The Witcher 3 solves exactly this problem. For those considering returning to the game before Songs of the Past, the timing couldn’t be better.
