Horse Racing Game Full Stride Announced

Japanese developer Blue Bullet has officially announced its new horse racing game, Full Stride. Focusing on a first-person perspective, the game aims to offer a completely jockey-controlled experience, moving away from classic management systems. Full Stride will be released in the first quarter of 2026 for PlayStation 5 and PC (Steam).

Full Stride Focuses on a Realistic Jockey Experience

Full Stride features gameplay that puts players directly in the jockey’s seat. Instead of a third-person camera, the game uses a perspective offered from saddle-level. This allows players to more clearly track both the distance to competing horses and their position on the track. Environmental awareness is crucial throughout the race.

At the heart of the gameplay are entirely skill-based controls. The start of the race, pace adjustments, acceleration, stamina management, and sprint timing are directly dependent on the player’s decisions. Avoiding automated systems, Full Stride determines the outcome of each race through the player’s reflexes and correct moves.

Each horse in the game has unique characteristics. Parameters such as speed, stamina, sprint power, cornering ability, terrain suitability, and temperament directly affect the race strategy. This necessitates players adopting a different riding style for each horse, making races highly replayable.

Full Stride also offers detailed, three-dimensional tracks. Tracks are distinguished by length, surface type, elevation differences, and visual conditions that vary depending on the time of day. The development team is particularly focused on the pure racing experience; the game does not include breeding, management, or economic systems. In this respect, Full Stride will offer a more niche but distinct experience in the genre.
